Where to Put Your Link So People Actually Tap It

A page nobody visits earns nothing. Every creator on Sociaal who has had a fan pay them got there the same way: they put their link in front of people, more than once, with a reason to tap it.

This post is the checklist. Do it once, in one sitting, and your link is working for you every day after.

🔗
Your link is sca.al/@yourname. It's on your dashboard under My Page, with a QR code next to it. Short, easy to say out loud, and it works without the @ too.

The five-minute version

  1. Instagram bio. Edit profile → Links → Add external link. If you have an old Linktree, replace it, don't add a second link. One link gets tapped; two links get ignored.
  2. TikTok bio. Edit profile → Website. TikTok only shows the website field on some accounts (usually business accounts or once you pass 1,000 followers). If you don't see it, put sca.al/@yourname as text in your bio. People will type a short link.
  3. WhatsApp Status. Post your link today with one line about what's on your page. Your contacts are the people most likely to support you first.
  4. YouTube. Customise channel → Basic info → Links. Then put it in the first line of every video description, not the last.
  5. Facebook. Add it to your page's Website field and pin a post with it.

The places most creators forget

  • Instagram Stories link sticker. Every account can use it. A bio link is passive; a story with a link sticker is a direct invitation, and it's where most taps come from.
  • Your WhatsApp Channel. If you run one, pin the link in the description.
  • Pinned comment. On your best-performing TikTok or Reel, pin a comment: "Full version on my page, link in bio."
  • Your email signature. If brands email you, every reply is a free advert.
  • Out in the world. Markets, gigs, shows, church events, a talk at school. Download the QR code from your dashboard and put it on a printed card, your merch table, or the last slide of your presentation.

The one line that makes people tap

"Link in bio" on its own does nothing. People tap when they know what's on the other side. Swap the vague line for a specific one:

✍️
Instead of "link in bio", try:
"The full 20-minute workout is on my page, link in bio."
"I put the recipe with quantities on my page. Link in bio."
"Bonus episode for members is up. Link in bio."
"If this helped, you can send me a tip. Link in bio."

The pattern is always the same: the thing, then where it is. Use it at the end of your free posts, every time, until your followers know your page is where the extra lives.

Make the page worth the tap

Before you start pointing people at your page, open it on your phone and look at it like a stranger would:

  • Is there a photo of you, and one line that says what you make?
  • Are your best two or three links at the top, not your oldest ones?
  • Is there something to do: a free tier to join, a product, a tip button? A page with only social links sends people straight back where they came from.
⚠️
Tips and paid tiers need verification. Fans can only pay you once your bank account and documents are in and checked. If your dashboard still shows a verification step, do that before you push your link hard, so nobody arrives at a page they can't support.

Check that it's working

Your dashboard's Analytics page shows how many people visited your page and which links they tapped (your own visits don't count). After a week of sharing, look at it. If one place sends most of your visitors, that's where to post more.
